About

Interior composition and material study
Context, circulation and atmosphere are resolved as a single design problem.
Studio Approach

Begin with how the space needs to work and feel

FC Interior approaches each brief as a spatial system. Circulation, scale, material, lighting and furniture are developed as one composition rather than a collection of separate decisions.

A considered design process

Work begins with context and use, then moves through plan, atmosphere and detail. Until verified project photography and credits are supplied, portfolio imagery is clearly labelled as concept work.

Design Principles

A restrained framework for making clear decisions

The visual language changes with each context, while the method remains deliberate and legible.

Context First

Existing architecture, orientation, use and constraints inform the direction before style is considered.

Material Honesty

Finish, texture and junctions are selected for how they age, feel and perform in the actual setting.

Visual Coherence

Lighting, furniture, colour and detail support one spatial idea instead of competing for attention.

Method

Four connected stages

01

Discover

Project context and priorities.

02

Define

Planning and spatial direction.

03

Develop

Material, lighting and detail.

04

Resolve

Coordinated design documentation.

Next Space

Bring the context and priorities into focus

A concise first brief is enough to begin the conversation.
